Who we are? PTC has over 60 member companies supporting the development and promotion of hot-dip galvanizing methods, including hot-dip galvanizing plants from the whole Poland, meeting very stringent quality and environmental protection standards. Our association was founded in 1994 and since then consistently develops its activities, currently bringing together 80% of the Polish market in services related to the hot dip coating. We are responsible for popularizing the technology of hot dip galvanizing as environmentally friendly, the most durable method of protecting steel against corrosion and maintaining the highest standards of our projects.

Short description of IPS (IPS Elektroniklabor GmbH & Co. KG)

Based on the Jaissle product line (started in 1961), IPS supplements these business with automation products since 1996 and continues later with several own developments.

IPS delivers: Potentiostats/Galvanostat from modular low price systems (computer controlled or stand alone) to high resolution/high voltage/high current/impedance and electrochemical noise systems, measurement- and automation-systems, rotating units, disc-, ring-disc and cylinder electrodes, zero resistance ammeters (ZRA), high resistance potential meters (HRU), the EcmWin software to control all these devices and the EcmView software to evaluate the measured data. During the last years we developed a spectroelectrochemical system in combination with a rotating electrode. Research partner in this case was the group of Dr. Mangold of the Dechema institute in Frankfurt.

One of our main features is special designs for our customer. In the meantime we designed and manufactured a test installation for metallic samples in hydrogen atmosphere under higher temperature and higher pressure with a Cormet autoclave.
Actual we push our new portable potentiostat/galvaonstat PguTouch for Lab- and field applications. A speed controller Touch version for our rotating electrode also will be available in time.



Road and Bridge Research Institute conducts research and development work concerning the construction and maintenance of transportation structures, specifically roads and road bridges, railway bridges and underground structures.

The Spanish Materials Society (SOCIEMAT) is a non profit association based in Madrid. Between the members of SOCIEMAT there are researchers of practically the entire range of the Materials Science's areas of activity, that use actively the society. Its goal is the scientific, engineering and technological development of materials within an educational framework and an industrial application through the promotion and dissemination of important research and development work being carried out in Spain in collaboration with government, local, national and international research and  development programmes. The overall objective of these activities is to promote cooperation in the field of research and development of materials and to establish within the existing infrastructure business partnerships to foster coordination and cooperation with entities working in the field of materials.

SOCIEMAT also develops educational programmes in the areas of materials science and engineering, including the organisation of national and international conferences, workshops and seminars. There is also a special interest in disseminating the materials science between young students and interested people by means such as schools of materials, grants, photography competitions or experiments shows. SOCIEMAT publishes every two months a newsletter and a scientific journal “Material-ES” and provides foundation contribution for national awards in the field of materials science .

The EFC's annual Congress EUROCORR 2020, Europe’s most renowned corrosion event, will take place at SQUARE - Brussels Meeting Centre in Belgium, September 6-10, 2020. The Congress will cover all aspects of corrosion science and engineering and material protection with world-wide reach. This congress will give the opportunity of reducing the gap between the academic world and the industry, especially in the field of corrosion predictions by  advanced measuring, modelling and monitoring. Uniquely in 2020, EUROCORR will focus on the new generation corrosion engineers. Indeed, the young scientists will have the floor throughout the congress. 

With expected attendance of 1000 delegates, the Congress aims to provide opportunities for creating global contacts, platform for networking and knowledge exchange among scientists, academics, researchers, students and industry related to corrosion.

Thermo-Calc is a software tool for performing thermodynamic and kinetic calculations based on the CALPHAD approach. Databases are available for steels, Al-, Mg-, Ni-, Ti-, Si-, solders, slags/oxide systems, and other materials as well as aqueous systems and salts.
